You may notice that usually there’s a new dolly listed here on Monday. And if not on Monday, then surely by Tuesday night I have something listed.

I’m sad to say, there will be no dolly this week. I had been working on a very special piece for a Prim & Whimsy Girls Challenge that is going on this week! (Search PWGL Bewitched to see what my talented PWGL sisters have made.) I just didn’t get finished. And on top of that, Dave & I are working very hard this week to prepare a house for our belongings. That’s right. In a few short days, we’ll officially be homeowners! We’re terribly excited, but there’s so much work to do. We still have to pack the majority of our belongings. So if you don’t see a Miller Campbell Designs dolly for a little while, that’s why.

But, here’s something that will make you all giddy with excitement. I know a lady who is having a fantastic give-away that you can join! Meet Evelyn & Pookie. A lot of folks think little Evelyn is the magical one in this duo. But don’t let Pookie’s face fool you! He knows more than a spell or two. Evelyn is 21.5 inches tall from the tip of her hat to her base. She’s 19″ tall without it. Evelyn’s been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. She’s been hand-painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She’s been made in the fashion of a stump doll. She has no legs. Her lower torso is rag-stuffed & weighted so that she stands nicely. Evelyn’s been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display.

Evelyn’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand. Her hands have been needle-sculpted as well. She sports brown painted gloves.

Evelyn’s blouse is made of white muslin. It features hand-gathered sleeves & hand-stitching around the neckline and back. Her apron skirt is made of 100% cotton Moda fabrics. The hem features hand-stitching. Evelyn’s hat is made of brown wool. It features hand-stitching, a cute polka dot bow which is pinned in place. It will be pinned in place with straight pins during shipping.

This might be the sweetest barn owl you’ll ever meet. If you don’t upset him that is. Pookie is 4.5″ tall. He’s been made of muslin, stuffed with fiberfill, hand-painted, sanded, aged & sealed with matte sealer. He is attached to Evelyn’s arm with rusty wire.

Evelyn’s wavy black hair is 100% mohair. It has been applied with light glue for extra security & needle-felting. It has been loosely pulled to the side & tied in a pony with embroidery thread.
