Mattilda & Annie, a Primitive Elf & Raggedy Ann Doll Set

These sweet girls are Mattilda & Annie. Mattilda is a Big Christmas doll, measuring 30″ tall from head to toe. She measures a full 27-28″ when sitting. Mattilda is an original, one of a kind muslin & fiberfill creation. She’s been hand-painted top to bottom several times and has been sanded & aged, giving her such a lovely, vintage patina, like the toys from so long ago. Mattilda has been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Both dolls have knees which are sewn through. Annie may be displayed separately, if you wish. However, she only sits with assistance.

Mattilda’s sweet face has been been carefully painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand, giving her a cute little pout. Her hands are needle-sculpted as well. She wears detailed boots, complete with tan socks & red laces.

Mattilda’s shirt has been made of white muslin. Her apron dress is a 100% cotton print with the cutest red polka dots. The hem has been hand-stitched in contrasting red thread. Mattilda’s blouse features hand-stitching around the neckline, sleeves & back. Vintage brown buttons adorn the front. Both the apron dress & blouse have been tea-stained for an old time appeal. Annie’s skirt is a 100% cotton print & features brown hand-stitching.

Little Annie has been made of stained osnaburg. Her face has been painted with various media & has been sealed. Annie’s torso & stockings are painted as well. The star she holds is a muslin creation. It has been painted, aged & dusted generously with glass glitter. It is sewn to Annie’s hand. Annie’s hair is red mohair. It has been sewn in place. She has embroidery thread ribbons on each pigtail.

Mattilda’s hair is 100% mohair. It has been attached with needle-felting & a touch of glue for extra security. A cream ribbon holds her hair in place.

Just right! — A Primitive Goldilocks & The Three Bears

I bet you know who these folks are! Little Goldilocks is 14.5 inches tall from head to toe. Her little bears are a wee 4-4.5″ tall. Goldilocks has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. She has been hand-painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her such a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed with a combination of glossy & matte sealers so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Goldi has an embroidery thread loop sewn to her back making her suitable for hanging. She can also be displayed sitting when propped up. She will not sit on her own. Her knees are sewn through making her a great shelf-sitter.

Goldi’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand. Her hands have been needle-sculpted as well. She sports brown painted gloves. She also sports painted brown boots with tan socks & light tan laces.

Goldi’s blouse is made of white muslin. It features hand-gathered sleeves & hand-stitching around the neckline and back. It is finished off with grey, vintage mother of pearl buttons at the neckline. Goldi’s skirt is a super cute 100% cotton print in shades of blue, red, green & brown. Her hem is hand-stitched with contrasting chocolate thread.

Sometimes you just want to take your friends everywhere you go! Goldi totes hers around in this super chic, brown, 100% wool purse. It features funky, folky stitches in blue & red embroidery thread & mismatched buttons. The bears are 4-4.5″ tall. They are removable although Goldi’s purse is not.

Goldilocks’ hair is 100% honey blonde mohair. It has been applied with light glue for extra security & needle-felting. It has been ‘parted’,pulled to the side & left loose.

Through the Woods

Meet Little Red Riding Hood & her tiny sidekick. Little Red is 6.5 inches, from head to toe. She is permanently attached to this box which is meant to be displayed on the wall. Little Red’s tiny companion is just over 2? tall. He can be removed from Red’s purse, although he finds this spot quite comfy. Red & her Wolf have been made of muslin & fiberfill. They’ve been painted & sanded a couple of times, giving them lovely, aged patinas. She’s been sealed with a combination of glossy & matte sealers. This little wolf has been sealed with a matte varnish with added UV filter.

Little Red’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand giving her a perfect little pout just like my larger dollies. Her hands have been needle-sculpted as well. She sports tan painted gloves. She also sports painted brown boots with tan socks & red, detailed laces.

Little Red’s blouse is made of white muslin. It features hand-gathered sleeves & hand-stitching around the neckline and back. It is finished off with a vintage button. Red’s skirt & hooded cape have been made from two 100% cotton prints. Red’s skirt features hand-stitching along the hem. Red’s tiny purse has been constructed from brown wool. It has a braided, embroidery thread strap which is not removable.

Red’s little home is full of charm! It is 4? deep & has a diameter of 7.5?. I have decoupaged the box with various vintage papers, including illustrations of various woodland creatures & types of leaves. All vintage papers were treated with acid neutralizer to prevent deterioration over time. A tiny forest has been painted inside Red’s box. “Little Red” has been hand-painted on the lid surrounded by hand-painted lace. The inside of the lid features various collage pieces, significant to the story of Little Red Riding Hood. A hemp string is attached to the back of the box, so that this piece may be displayed on the wall. The lid can be placed on the box or displayed alongside Alice, although no hanger is attached to the lid.

Lila & Tots.

This is Lila & her tiny family. Each doll has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. Lila measures a little over 10″ tall from head to toe. She stands on her own as her base is rag-stuffed & bean-filled. Each doll has been painted & sanded a couple of times, giving them lovely, aged patinas. They’ve been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Lila’s little lambs are constructed of 5 separate pieces & have been button jointed.

Lila & family have been painted with a variety of media. Lila’s ears & nose has been needle-sculpted by hand. She sports brown painted gloves & even has a cute, striped underskirt painted on her base.

Lila’s blouse is made of white muslin. It features hand-gathered sleeves & hand-stitching around the neckline and back. It is finished off with two, vintage mother of pearl buttons. Her apron dress has been made from a 100% cotton red berry & vine print. The hem features hand-stitching.
