“No wonder you’re late. Why, this watch is exactly two days slow.”
Welcome to Wonderland! I’m so excited to be able to show these fellows to you finally. This six piece set was such a thrill to make.
This windswept Alice is 11″ tall & has been made in the style of a stump doll. (She has no legs.) Her dress extends another 1.5″. She has been made of muslin & is stuffed with fiberfill. Her base is rag-stuffed & lightly weighted so that she stands nicely. Alice has been hand-painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed so hat she may be lightly dusted after display. Her arms are button jointed. Her nose, bottom lip & fingers have been needle-sculpted by hand.

Somehow I can’t imagine this lady yelling “Off with their heads!” Although she just might deliver a nice swat if you get out of line. The Red Queen stands 12″ tall. Her dress extends another 2″. She’s been made similar to Alice (read above). Her crown is constructed from cardstock & artisan paper with a slight gold shimmer.
The Tweedles stand 5″ tall & are 1″ wide. They’re free-standing & have rag-stuffed & lightly weighted bases.
This fellow is one of my absolute favorites!
The Mad Hatter & Chessy, that mischievous smiling cat!
The Mad Hatter is 14″ tall from the tip of Chessy’s ears to his base. Chessy sits atop a paperclay top hat that has been painted & sealed.
The Mad Hatter’s hat band & bow are taupe grosgrain ribbon. His collar has been hand-painted.
These dolls are being auctioned off separately on eBay. They will begin tonight at 9:15 PM EST. (Auctions will not be visible until that time.) They will end Sunday night April 25th at 9:15 PM EST. Click here to bid or to see more photos of this mad group!
