A Halloween Trick or Treater sure to frighten your pants off.

Okay. So maybe she’s not spooky at all. But she will take all your candy. If you let her.

This sweet little trick-or-treater is Sadie. And Sadie wants to fill her special pumpkin bag with as much candy as it can possibly hold! Sadie is my original design & is guaranteed one of a kind art! Sadie has been painted & sanded, top to bottom many, many times & is sealed with a combination of sealers so she may be beautifully preserved. She has a weighted torso allowing her to sit nicely. She was lightly wired arms & measures 17″ tall from the tip of her ears to the bottom of her pretty boots. Her pumpkin bag is 3.5 inches tall & a little over 3.5 inches wide.

Sadie’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand.

I’ve needle-sculpted Sadie’s fingers as well. She sports grey gloves. She also sports pretty brown boots with mustard yellow laces & dark grey socks.

A Halloween Witch & Kitty Set with a Clapsaddle Inspired Pumpkin.

DrucillaHeadToToe I have had such a great time making this set for you! This is Drucilla, (named after my second grade teacher who had such a witchy name although she was as nice as could be!) Drucilla & her Halloween kitty are my original designs. Her pumpkin has been painted in the likeness of one of my favorite Ellen Clapsaddle vintage Halloween postcards! Both dolls have been painted & sanded, top to bottom many, many times & sealed so they may be beautifully preserved. Drucilla has a weighted torso allowing her to sit nicely. She was lightly wired arms & measures 32″ tall from the tip of her hat (which is removable) to the bottom of her feet.

Prim & Whimsy Girl ‘Halloween Harvest’ Challenge

Bet you were wondering what was going on this week, huh?

I’ve battled a fantastic sinus infection this week & was running behind on my little dollies Sunday. SO…instead of trying to cram a whole lot of things into one day, I decided to wait until tonight to list my dollies. They’re both 5 day auctions so they’ll end at their usual time. And yep, I said they. This week, I’m offering two dollies.

One is a challenge piece, made especially for the Prim & Whimsy Girls ‘Halloween Harvest’ Challenge. To see what the other extremely talented Prim & Whimsy Girls have made especially for this challenge, search PWGL HARVEST on eBay & look for this banner:

PWGLHHBanner500

Please read the posts below to see my piece for this challenge.

The second piece I made this week is my first mini offered individually on eBay! She’s an Atlas moth & a pumpkin fairy & so tiny & sweet. See Zoey below.

And if you get a chance, check out the Prim & Whimsy Girls group blog. There are some free vintage images over there for use in your art projects! Or sign up for our mailing list for all the latest news.

Hope you all have a great week!

Zoey, A Primitive Pumpkin Fairy resembling the Atlas Moth

ZoeyHeadToToe

This little girl is Zoey. And yes she is little! Zoey is my first individually offered mini. She has been made of muslin, stuffed with fiberfill & hand-painted & sanded, top to bottom many, many times. Zoey is sealed with a combination of sealers so that she may be beautifully preserved. She has a hemp loop attached to her back for hanging. She can also sit on her own with the aid of those beautiful wings. Her knees are sewn through, making her a great shelf sitter. Zoey is a wee 10 inches tall, with an 8 inch wingspan & brings with her a 4.5 inch pumpkin.

 ZoeyProfile ZoeyBoots ZoeyHand

Zoey’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand, just like my larger dolls.

Zoey’s fingers have been needle sculpted. She sports dainty mustard yellow gloves & pretty boots complete with orange laces & mustard yellow socks. Zoey’s laces are highlighted & shaded, making them so very interesting.

Zoey’s skirt has been made from two truly supple & soft 100% cotton prints. Her blouse is made of taupe osnaburg & features hand-gathered sleeves & tiny glass beads adorning the front. There’s tons of hand-stitching on these two pieces. All visible hems have been hand-stitched as well as the back of Zoey’s blouse.

Annette carries this sweet blue/green Jarrahdale pumpkin. (One of my favorites for fall!) It is made of muslin, has been painted & sanded many times & has a very primitive, stained appearance. I’ve finished off this pumpkin with a rusty wire stem, attached with invisible filament, a hemp bow & a handmade banner.

“Happy Harvest” has been hand-painted onto taupe osnaburg then stitched onto brow polka dot fabric. It is tied to the pumpkin stem with a chocolate ribbon.

Annette is currently available on Ebay. This is a 5 day auction. She will end Sunday, Sept 14th at 9:15 PM EST. Click here to view this little dumpling!

Roxie, a primitive Monarch Butterfly dressed in the colors of Autumn.

I’m so pleased to introduce you to little Roxie, a Harvest Monarch. She is my original design & is guaranteed one of kind art! Roxie has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. Did someone say Primitive Halloween Party?

Oooh, I am thrilled to be able to offer this little Halloween set this week – Olivia & Tab #56. They turned out so incredibly cute & don my all-time favorite shades…brown & green. (My obsession with chartreuse began in high school after finding a perfect 1940’s bright green coat in a local thrift store for only……50 cents. I loved that coat. It was a major component of what my family often called my ‘homeless chic’ look at the time.)(psst…I secretly loved my homeless chic look too…)

Here’ are the pretty ladies:

This little pair is Olivia & Tab. And boy, are they ready for a Halloween Party! This doll set is my original design & is guaranteed one of kind art! Olivia & Tab have been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. They’ve been painted & sanded, top to bottom many, many times & are sealed with a combination of sealers so that they may be beautifully preserved. Olivia sits on her own & is made in the fashion of my larger dollies. Tab sits with Olivia’s assistance. Sophie is 19 inches tall from the tip of her hat to the bottom of her shoes. Tab is 13 inches.

These sweet faces have been painted with a variety of mediums. Both dolls have needle-sculpted noses & Olivia’s bottom lip is needle-sculpted by hand as well. They have beautiful, three dimensional faces.

Both dolls sport dainty tan gloves on their needle-sculpted hands. They also sport pretty boots complete with green laces for Olivia & cream laces on Tab.
