Trixie – A Primitive Black Pug in Stripy Skirt.

This little girl is Trixie. Trixie is my first black pug doll. She is my original design & has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. She measures 10.5″ tall from head to toe. She’s been painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed with a combination of glossy & matte sealers so that she may be lightly dusted after display. She has a slight sheen. Trixie can sit only with assistance & has a hemp loop attached to her back for hanging. Her knees have been sewn through, making her a perfect shelf sitter.

Trixie’s ears & muzzle have been attached separately by hand. Her muzzle sticks out approximately .25″, giving her a great pug profile.

Trixie’s fingers have been needle-sculpted by hand. She sports tan painted gloves. She also sports pretty brown boots with tan socks & red, detailed, laces.

Trixie’s blouse has been made of taupe osanburg. It features a hand-stitched neckline & hand-gathered sleeves. It also features a vintage, mother of pearl button at the neckline. Her skirt has been made from a 100% cotton Moda print in sweet stripes.

Who’s Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

Claudette, A Sweet Primitive Reindeer

This little girl is sure to bring a smile or two! Meet Claudette. She’s my original design & has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill . Claudette measures 17.5″ from the top of those awesome antlers to the bottom of her pretty little boots. She’s been painted & sanded many times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She has been sealed with a combination of matte & glossy sealers so that she may be beautifully preserved. Claudette can sit with assistance. Her knees have been sewn through. She also has a hemp loop attached to her back for hanging.

Claudette’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her bottom lip & nose have been needle-sculpted by hand.

Claudette’s fingers have been needle-sculpted as well. She sports tan gloves. She also sports pretty brown boots complete with tan socks & red detailed laces.

The apron dress Claudette wears is made from 100% cotton Moda prints in festive red & cream. Claudette’s blouse has been made of taupe osnaburg & features a big, vintage, mother of pearl button at the neckline. It also features hand-gathered sleeves. All exposed hems have been hand-stitched. There is also hand-stitching at the back of Claudette’s blouse & along the neckline.

Claudette’s hair is curly, light brown 100% mohair. I’ve applied it with light glue & needle-felting.

Gloria – A Primitive Christmas Angel with Cardinals in Hand

This lovely lady is Gloria. Gloria & her feathered friends are my original designs, have been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. Gloria measures 14.5″ tall from the top of her sweet annie halo to the her base. She has a 10″ wingspan. Gloria’s base has been rag-stuffed & bean-filled so that she stands nicely. Her arms have been attached separately & are supported with wire. She’s been painted & sanded many times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She has been sealed so that she may be beautifully preserved.

Gloria’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her bottom lip & nose have been needle-sculpted by hand.

Gloria’s fingers have been needle-sculpted as well. She sports tan gloves. Gloria also wears a blouse fashioned from taupe osnaburg & a skirt fashioned from rich, chocolate velveteen. Her blouse features hand-gathered sleeves & hand stitching along the neckline & back. The hem of Gloria’s skirt has been hemmed by hand. A beautiful, vintage rhinestone earring adorns the front of the skirt for added sparkle. I snipped the post & attached it to the skirt securely with invisible thread. Gloria’s wings gave been made of muslin & are machine-quilted. They’ve been painted & sanded a couple of times & aged. The front of Gloria’s wings are generously dusted with vintage-style glass glitter. They’re attached to Gloria with a grey, vintage, mother of pearl button & several strands of heavy duty button thread.
A sweet annie halo adorns Gloria’s head.

Gloria’s cardinals have been made from muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. They have separately attached wings which have been hand-quilted. They’ve been painted, sanded & aged & come attached to Gloria’s arms with rusty wire.

Gloria’s hair is black 100% mohair. I’ve applied it with light glue & needle-felting.

Just who makes all those perfectly prim toys for Christmas?

I bet this little girl might have an inkling.

Meet Eloise & Annie. They’re my original designs & have been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill . Eloise measures 26″ tall from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet. Annie measures just over 12″ tall. Eloise’s lower torso is rag-stuffed & bean-filled so that she sits nicely. She’s been painted & sanded many times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She has been sealed with a combination of matte & glossy sealers so that she may be beautifully preserved. Annie can sit with assistance. Both dolls have knees which have been sewn through, making them perfect shelf sitters. Eloise’s arms are lightly wired allowing them to be gently posed.

Eloise’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her bottom lip & nose have been needle-sculpted by hand.

Eloise’s fingers have been needle-sculpted as well. She sports brown gloves. She also sports pretty brown boots complete with tan socks & red detailed laces.

Eloise’s pointy ears have been attached separately by hand.

The apron dress she wears is made from 100% cotton prints in festive holiday colors. Eloise’s blouse has been made of taupe osanburg & features a big, vintage, mother of pearl button at the neckline. It also features hand-gathered sleeves. All exposed hems have been hand-stitched on both Eloise & Annie’s dresses. There is also hand-stitching at the back of their blouses & along the back seams.

Annie’s dress features a white pearl bead at the neckline & two vintage mother of pearl buttons. Her hair is 100% red mohair & has been lightly glued then stitched & needle-felted into place. Her pigtails are tied with green embroidery thread.

Eloise’s hair is honey blonde 100% mohair. I’ve applied it with light glue & needle-felting. It is tied into a side pony with chocolate ribbon.

Noelle, A Primitive Snowflake Doll

Meet Noelle. Noelle brings to mind the quiet, calm & incredible sparkle of fresh fallen snow. She is my original design and stands 17″ tall from tip top of her head to the bottom of her base. Noelle has been made of muslin, stuffed with fiberfill & painted & sanded many times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. Her base is rag-stuffed & bean-filled allowing her to stand nicely. She has been sealed so that she may be beautifully preserved. Noelle’s arms are lightly wired & button jointed allowing them to be gently posed. Her neck is supported with wire for durability.

Noelle’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand. Noelle’s wee fingers have been needle-sculpted as well. She sports light tan gloves. Each “branch” of Noelle’s snowflake head has been machine-quilted & individually sewn to her head.

Noelle’s apron dress has been made from two beautiful neutrals. The underskirt is white muslin. The over skirt is textured taupe osnaburg. It is finished with two vintage, grey mother of pearl buttons at the waistline & two white mother of pearl buttons on the over skirt. Noelle’s blouse has been made of white muslin. It features puffy, hand-gathered sleeves. All exposed hems have been hand-stitched. There is also hand-stitching at the neckline of Noelle’s blouse & along the back seam. All clothing has been treated to a coffee/lavender bud bath. It was then hand-washed & pressed.

Noelle’s glistening head was first painted white then treated to crackle medium. Her head was antiqued for contrast, then glittered with vintage style glass glitter on the front & back.

Noelle carries a lovely winter swag constructed from rusty wire, rusty jingle bells, preserved sweet annie & a raffia ribbon. She’s surely ready for your wintertime celebrations!
