This little gal is Miriam. Miriam is just shy of 16″ tall with a wingspan of 9″. She has been made of fabric, stuffed with fiberfill & hand-painted & sanded many times giving her such a lovely, aged patina. Miriam has been sealed with a combination of sealers so that she can be lightly dusted after display. She has a hemp loop attached to her back for hanging or she may sit with assistance.
Miriam has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been hand-sculpted. Her tiny fingers have been hand-sculpted as well. She wears dark taupe painted gloves & brown boots with dark taupe socks & tan laces.
Miriam’s apron dress has been constructed from supple 100% cotton prints. Her blouse has been constructed from white muslin. It features hand-gathered sleeves & a vintage mother of pearl button at the neckline. It was treated to a lavender bud/coffee bath for an aged appearance & was then hand-washed & pressed. This clothing features lots of hand-stitching. All hems have been hand-stitched as well as the neckline & back of Miriam’s blouse.
Miriam’s dove is constructed of three separate pieces. The dove’s wings have been hand-quilted & attached. It’s been hand-painted & sanded many times & is sealed. It is not attached to Miriam & may be removed.
The cone dangling from Miriam’s wee hands, has been constructed of taupe osnaburg. It features hand-stitching, swarovski crystals, taupe beads & is filled with a sweet annie bundle. This cone is removable.
Miriam’s wings have been machine-quilted in an intricate swirled pattern. They’ve been painted, sanded, aged & covered in vintage-style glass glitter. They’re attached to Miriam with a vintage, huge mother of pearl button & heavy duty button thread.
Miriam’s hair is brown 100% mohair. It is parted & styled into loose buns around the nape.

There’s no need to tell you what inspired this sweet angel. She is a frosty autumn delight for sure & maybe, just maybe, this little gal has been hard at work on those chilly mornings when frost covered leaves crunch under your feet. Bernadette is my original design. No pattern has been used to make her. She’s just under 16″ tall, with a wingspan of 10″. She’s been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. She’s been hand-painted & sanded top to bottom many times, giving her a lovely aged patina. Bernadette has been sealed sealed so they she be beautifully preserved. She has a hemp loop attached to her back making her suitable for hanging or she may sit with assistance. (See pic at below.) Bernadette has lightly wired arms that have been tied together, allowing her to hold her pumpkin.
I have had many requests for another pug doll. Since I so loved making my first little pug doll, Clove, I decided to make another, more whimsical little girl.
