Trinnie & Kat – A Festive Little Trick-or-Treating Witch Duo.

Meet Trinnie & Kat. She’s 19″ tall from the tip of her polka dot witch hat to the tip of her toes (seventeen inches without her hat). She’s a muslin & fiberfill doll. Her lower torso is rag-stuffed & lightly weighted so that she may sit nicely. She’s been hand-painted top to bottom a couple of times & has such a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Trinnie & Kat would look lovely perched upon a bookcase or shelf.  Her knees are sewn through. Her arms are button jointed.

Trinnie’s sweet face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand, giving her face a great bit of dimension & a beautiful little pout. She has needle-sculpted hands as well. She sports brown painted boots with taupe socks & detailed black laces.

Trinnie’s apron dress is 100% cotton. It features a hand-stitched hemline. Her blouse is made of white muslin. The hem, sleeves, neckline & back have been stitched by hand. Trinnie’s polka dot hat is embellished with a hand-made tissue paper pompom which is attached with wire.

Don’t you just love these little accessories? Kat is 4.5″ tall & features button jointed arms. She has no legs but sits in Trinnie’s lap quite nicely. Trinnie’s pumpkin is a paperclay over styrofoam creation which has been hand painted & sculpted. A rusty wire handle is attached.

Hettie & Leonard, a Primitive Spell-Casting Pair

Meet Hettie! She’s a 22″ tall folk art witch who’s been made of muslin & fiberfill. (She measures 18″ without her hat.) Hettie is made in the style of a stump doll & has no legs. She’s been hand-painted top to bottom a couple of times & has such a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display.

Hettie’s apron dress is made out of some of my favorite 100% cotton prints. (The green fabric is more vivid in person.) Her blouse is made of white muslin & features a vintage button at the neckline. Hettie’s hem, sleeves, neckline & back have been stitched by hand. Hettie’s witch hat has a lightly wired brim so it can be shaped however you desire. It features 3 handmade, tissue-paper pompoms which are attached to the hat with wire. Hattie’s hat will be pinned in place for safe shipping.

This is Leonard. You can bet Hettie doesn’t travel without him. She just never had the heart to add him to her witch’s brew! He’s a hand-painted muslin creation & is a little over 5″ tall. He’s been sealed with matte sealer.  Leonard’s little ‘pouch’ is accented with various vintage buttons, embroidery thread & is permanently attached to Hettie. Leonard, however, is removable & can be displayed on his own.

Hettie’s red hair is 100% mohair. It has been secured in place with needle-felting & light glue. It is styled in messy buns.

Sweet Flutter, A Folk Art Butterfly in Teal, Green, Black & White

You may not see this little girl fluttering about your flowerbeds but I can guarantee that she will brighten up your springtime doll collection!
Meet Flutter. She’s 14.5″ tall with a wingspan of 12″. She has been made of muslin & is stuffed with fiberfill. She’s been hand-painted top to bottom a couple of times & has such a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Flutter has an embroidery thread loop attached, making her suitable for hanging or she may sit with assistance. She’d look lovely perched upon a bookcase or shelf.  Her knees are sewn through.

She’s been sanded & antiqued & has such a lovely patina & old-fashioned appeal. Althea is sealed with matte sealer so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Her skirt is 100% cotton & features a hand-stitched hem. Althea’s machine-quilted wings are attached with a vintage mother of pearl button. Her wingspan is 12”. Her cutesy polka dot petals have been applied securely by hand. This little girl has an embroidery thread loop attached, making her suitable for hanging. April Showers Bring May Flowers!

Meet sweet April May. April May was inspired by the above saying. She stands 17″ tall from the tip of her “rain”-soaked umbrella to her base. April is 15″ tall from the top of her head to her base.  She’s been made in the style of a stump doll. (She has no legs.) She’s been made of muslin & is stuffed with fiberfill. Her base is rag-stuffed & lightly weighted so that she stands nicely. April May has been hand-painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Her arms are button jointed.

Aren’t these little girls sweet? Each flower stands approx. 6″ tall. They’ve been made of muslin & fiberfill & are hand-painted.  They are lightly weighted. Each petal has been attached with hand-stitching.

April’s wire & fabric umbrella features lots of hand-stitching as well. It’s been painted & aged. Paperclay rain drops are attached with invisible filament. A swarovski crystal accompanies each raindrop adding just the right bit of sparkle. April’s umbrella is attached to her hand with rusty wire. It is sewn to her blouse as well & is not removable.

Somehow I can’t imagine this lady yelling “Off with their heads!” Although she just might deliver a nice swat if you get out of line. The Red Queen stands 12″ tall. Her dress extends another 2″. She’s been made similar to Alice (read above). Her crown is constructed from cardstock & artisan paper with a slight gold shimmer.

The Mad Hatter is 14″ tall from the tip of Chessy’s ears to his base. Chessy sits atop a paperclay top hat that has been painted & sealed.

The Mad Hatter’s hat band & bow are taupe grosgrain ribbon. His collar has been hand-painted.
