Minnie, a Folk Art Snow Girl & Ginger – a Delicious Christmas Treat for your Tree.

Ok. I’ll take that back, you probably don’t want to EAT Ginger. Muslin & stuffing & paint & glitter probably do not taste very good. And instead of the warm fuzzies, you may wind up with the cold sweats.

But this little girl just might make your holidays a little more cheerful. I’ve certainly enjoyed bringing her to life the last few days!

She has a friend, too. Minnie. Minnie is a little smaller. But lacks nothing in the charm department.

These OOAK ornies are available on Ebay this week (along with Ella, below…) Click here to check out these little guys, available in separate auctions.

Claire, a primitive Christmas Angel for your Tree or Collection.

ClaireHeadToToe

This wee Christmas angel is Claire. Claire is 10″ tall with a 7″ wingspan. She has been made of muslin, stuffed with fiberfill & hand-painted & sanded top to bottom many times. Claire has a hemp loop attached to her back, making her perfect for displaying on your Christmas tree this year, or hanging with your doll collection. She may also be displayed sitting, although she will need to be propped up as she can’t sit on her own. Claire has been sealed so that she may be beautifully preserved.

Claire’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand just like my bigger dollies!

Claire’s fingers have been needle-sculpted as well. She sports buttery yellow gloves. She also sports pretty brown boots complete with buttery yellow socks & mustard laces.

Claire’s apron skirt has been made from a 100% cotton, striped Moda print. Her blouse has been made of white muslin. It features hand-gathered sleeves & a beautiful, vintage, mother of pearl button at the neckline. All visible hems have been hand-stitched & there is hand-stitching around Claire’s neckline & the back of her blouse.

These sparkle on Claire’s wings is absolutely beautiful! They’ve been machine quilted, hand-painted. sanded & aged. I’ve dusted Claire’s wings generously with vintage-style glass glitter. They’re gorgeous in dim light & will twinkle beautifully on your tree this season. They’ve been attached with an olive green button & heavy duty button thread.

ClaireWingsBack

Claire’s hair is brown (not nearly as ‘red’ as in these photos) 100% mohair. It was lightly glued & carefully needle-felted to her head. It has been ‘parted’ & pulled to the side in a long pony & tied with a chocolate ribbon.

Claire is up for grabs on Ebay. She will end October 19th at 9PM EST. Click here to view or bid!
