Before you know it, it will be time to decorate the Christmas tree. I have to admit, I’m looking forward to it. I’ve already been drooling over all the handmade ornaments on Etsy & thinking about what I might like to make for my own tree this year. I always stick little nests in there. And grapevine. My tree topper is one of the first angels I ever made with coffee stained wings and no face. Some of my favorite holiday decorations are homemade banners made of cardstock & string. They’re just random little phrases that make me smile. I string them above doorways or the bed or above the kitchen sink. You can see pictures of a few in this post from last year.
I hope I can hold off until at LEAST Thanksgiving before the little banners & baubles go up. It’s getting harder as I’ve found myself humming Christmas carols for a while now.
Here are the ornies I have listed this week.

This little girl looks quite the priss with her ruby red lips & stylish wool hat! Meet Ella. Ella is my original design. She measures 16″ tall from the top of her head to the bottom of her feat. Ella has been made of muslin, stuffed with fiberfill & painted & sanded many times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She has been sealed with a combination of matte & glossy sealers so that she may be beautifully preserved. Ella has a hemp loop attached to her back making her suitable for hanging or she may sit with assistance. Her knees are sewn through, making her a perfect shelf sitter. Ella’s arms are lightly wired allowing them to be gently posed.
