Jack – A Primitive Fawn Pug in his Super Cool Wingtips.

This cute fellow is Jack. Jack is my original design & has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill . He measures 11″ tall from head to toe. He’s been painted & sanded a couple of times, giving him a lovely, aged patina. He’s been sealed with a combination of glossy & matte sealers so that he may be lightly dusted after display. Jack has a slight sheen.

Jack can sit with assistance & has a hemp loop attached to his back for hanging. His knees have been sewn through, making him a perfect shelf sitter.

Jack’s ears & muzzle have been attached separately by hand. His muzzle sticks out approximately .25″, giving him a great pug profile.

Jack’s fingers have been needle-sculpted by hand. He’s sports brown painted gloves. He also sports retro, two-toned oxfords with brown socks.

Jack’s shirt has been constructed from taupe osnaburg. It features a hand-stitched neckline & hand-gathered sleeves. It also features 3 vintage, mother of pearl buttons. His chocolate corduroy bibs feature hand-stitched hems & a hand-gathered waist. His bib straps have been attached with grey embroidery thread.

Trixie – A Primitive Black Pug in Stripy Skirt.

This little girl is Trixie. Trixie is my first black pug doll. She is my original design & has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. She measures 10.5″ tall from head to toe. She’s been painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed with a combination of glossy & matte sealers so that she may be lightly dusted after display. She has a slight sheen. Trixie can sit only with assistance & has a hemp loop attached to her back for hanging. Her knees have been sewn through, making her a perfect shelf sitter.

Trixie’s blouse has been made of taupe osanburg. It features a hand-stitched neckline & hand-gathered sleeves. It also features a vintage, mother of pearl button at the neckline. Her skirt has been made from a 100% cotton Moda print in sweet stripes.

Chi Chi, a feisty folk art Chihuahua.

This little dumpling is Chi Chi. I’ve received several requests for different dog breeds & decided to see if I could make a Chihuahua. Well, Chi Chi is definitely a cutie & is absolutely guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Chi Chi is 13″ tall from the tip of her ears to the bottom of her feet. She’s has been made of muslin, stuffed with fiberfill & painted & sanded many times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She has been sealed with a combination of matte & glossy sealers so that she may be beautifully preserved. Though she’s been sealed with matte sealer, she still has a slight sheen. Chi Chi’s torso has been rag-stuffed & bean filled allowing her to sit nicely. Her arms are wired & may be gently posed.

Chi Chi’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her large ears have been attached separately & are hand-stitched in place.

Chi Chi’s fingers have been needle-sculpted by hand. She sports tan gloves. She also sports pretty brown boots complete with tan socks & red hand-painted laces.

I am in love with this fabric! The cream & red print has such a vintage feel & is perfect for year round display. Chi Chi’s blouse has been made of white muslin & features hand-gathered sleeves & a vintage button at the neckline. All exposed hems have been hand-stitched. There is also hand-stitching at the neckline of Chi Chi’s blouse & along the back seam. Chi Chi’s blouse has been treated to a coffee/lavender bud bath for a slightly aged appearance. It was then hand washed & pressed.

Chi Chi gently holds this little candy cane bundle, perfect for Christmastime. Sprigs of sweet annie is nestled between the canes & the bundle is wired then tied together with rusty jingle bells & chocolate ribbon. This candy cane bundle measures 4″ tall & is not attached so that Chi Chi can be displayed even after the holidays.

Lola, a whimsical Pug clutching her pink balloon.

I have had many requests for another pug doll. Since I so loved making my first little pug doll, Clove, I decided to make another, more whimsical little girl.

This little Pug is named Lola & Lola is super sweet, dressed in pink & holding her balloon. Lola is made of muslin & stuffed with fiber fill. She’s been painted & sanded top to bottom many times & has been sealed with a combination of sealers so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Lola has a weighted torso allowing her to sit nicely on her own. She measures 11″ tall from head to toe.

Could this face be any sweeter? It has been painted with a variety of media. Her little muzzle and ears have been stitched separately & hand-stitched to Lola’s face, creating a bit of dimension. Lola’s ears are stitched down creating the perfect frame for such a sweet (and maybe a bit sad?) face.

Lola’s fingers have been needle-sculpted by hand. She sports chocolate brown gloves. Bet you didn’t know pugs could be so fashionable. They do love their shoes! Lola wears chocolate boots with tan knees socks & pink laces.

Lola’s skirt has been made from two 100% cotton prints in pink stripes & chocolate & cream polka dots. Her blouse has been made from white muslin & features hand-gathered sleeves & a vintage, flower-shaped mother of pearl button at the neckline. All visible hems have been hand-stitched as well as the back of little Lola’s blouse. Her clothing was dyed in a coffee/lavender bud bath for a slightly aged appearance. All clothing was then washed by hand & pressed.

Lola loves her pink balloon. It has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. It’s been painted & sanded many times & is attached to rusty wire. The wire is wrapped around Lola’s wrist.
