This is Edie. Edie is 16″ from the top of her head to her toes & has a wingspan measuring 10 inches. She has been made of muslin & is stuffed with fiberfill. Her lower torso has been rag-stuffed & is lightly weighted so that she may stand nicely. Edie has been made in the style of a stump doll. She has no legs. She’s been hand-painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She has also been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display.
Edie’s face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand, giving her face a great bit of dimension & a beautiful little pout.
She has needle-sculpted hands as well. Her hand-painted, muslin wings have been attached to Edie with a vintage button & embroidery thread.
Edie’s blouse is sewn from white muslin & features hand-stitching at the neckline, sleeves & back. A vintage, grey, mother of pearl button adorns the neckline. Her apron skirt has been constructed from 100% cotton fabric & is embellished with various black buttons. The hem is hand-stitched.
Edie’s curly black hair is 100% mohair. It has been applied with light glue for extra security & needle-felting. She has rusty wire antennae.
Edie is available on eBay. She will end Sunday, April 11 at 9:15 PM EST. Click here to view or bid!
