I received some super sweet awards this week from fellow bloggers. It feels so nice to receive them & to have someone take time to tell you that they enjoy your blog, but it is EXTRA special when the sweet words come from artists who knock your socks off!

Blogging in this way, has opened me up to a whole new world…and it makes me feel a sort of kinship with all of you. I understand your passion to create. I understand that it’s not because you want to, but often times because you have to.

Thank you girls, for allowing me access to this ‘sisterhood’.

The first award was the Art Prize & Award, given to me by the uber talented Deb Wilkinson from The Laughing Doll. I completely love Deb’s dolls & her unique style. That makes this award extra special. Because she is so fantastic. The second was the “You Make My Day” Award given to me by Melissa Valeriote of Valeriote Design whose charm & whimsicals (& pinwheels) make me all swoony!

This is the basis of the Art Prize & Award:

“This prize has arisen from the daily visits that I dedicate to many blogs which nourish me and enrich me with creativity. In them I see dedication, creativity, care, comradeship, but mainly, ART, much art. I want to share this prize with all those bloggers that entertain me day to day and to share this prize with those who enrich me every day. Doubtlessly, there are many and it will be hard to pick just a few, the people I will name today deserve this prize, as do the very long serious list of bloggers I enjoy to read, but I will name the first 6 and will leave the rest of the work to all the bloggers that visit other’s blogs and are nourished by them.”

The rules of passing on the Art Prize & Award are as follows ~ post award in your own blog: Post who gave it to you – indicate its origin and link to the site.

These are the rules of the “You Make My Day” Award: 1. Write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think and/or make your day. 2. Acknowledge the post of the award giver. 3. Display the “You Make my Day Award” logo with a link to the post that I wrote. (Optional) 4. Tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.

So, I’m combining these awards & naming it the: You Rock My Art World Award. The only rule concerning this ‘new’ award is that there are no rules. This is just to let you all know how inspiring your work is.
