Lola, a whimsical Pug clutching her pink balloon.

I have had many requests for another pug doll. Since I so loved making my first little pug doll, Clove, I decided to make another, more whimsical little girl.

This little Pug is named Lola & Lola is super sweet, dressed in pink & holding her balloon. Lola is made of muslin & stuffed with fiber fill. She’s been painted & sanded top to bottom many times & has been sealed with a combination of sealers so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Lola has a weighted torso allowing her to sit nicely on her own. She measures 11″ tall from head to toe.

Could this face be any sweeter? It has been painted with a variety of media. Her little muzzle and ears have been stitched separately & hand-stitched to Lola’s face, creating a bit of dimension. Lola’s ears are stitched down creating the perfect frame for such a sweet (and maybe a bit sad?) face.

Lola’s fingers have been needle-sculpted by hand. She sports chocolate brown gloves. Bet you didn’t know pugs could be so fashionable. They do love their shoes! Lola wears chocolate boots with tan knees socks & pink laces.

Lola’s skirt has been made from two 100% cotton prints in pink stripes & chocolate & cream polka dots. Her blouse has been made from white muslin & features hand-gathered sleeves & a vintage, flower-shaped mother of pearl button at the neckline. All visible hems have been hand-stitched as well as the back of little  Lola’s blouse. Her clothing was dyed in a coffee/lavender bud bath for a slightly aged appearance. All clothing was then washed by hand & pressed.

LolaBalloon

Lola loves her pink balloon. It has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. It’s been painted & sanded many times & is attached to rusty wire. The wire is wrapped around Lola’s wrist.

Lola is currently available on Ebay & will end Sunday night, Oct. 19th at 9 PM EST. Click here to make Lola yours or to see additional pictures.

A little Sweetie & her Halloween Pug

This super duo is Dory & Clove. And they’re all set for a Halloween party! Dory &  Clove have been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. They’ve been painted & sanded, top to bottom many, many times & are sealed with a combination of sealers so that they may be beautifully preserved. Dory sits on her own & is made in the fashion of my larger dollies. Clove sits with Dory’s assistance. Dory is 20 inches tall from the tip of her hat to the bottom of her shoes. Sweet Clove is 15 inches.

These sweet faces have been painted with a variety of mediums. Dory’s nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand. Clove’s nose & mouth area has been constructed separately stitched to her face. Both dolls have needle-sculpted fingers. Dory’s arms are lightly wired allowing her to be gently posed.

Both dolls wear sweet party hats constructed from card stock & specialty papers. They’re fastened in the back with hand-stitching & feature green seed beads along the edge & embroidery thread tassels. Both hats are tied with chocolate ribbons & are pinned in place for added security. Both dolls also sport painted tan gloves & tan socks & brown boots with mustard yellow laces.

Both girls are wearing dresses made from 100% cotton prints. The fabric is truly supple & soft. Their blouses have been made of white muslin & feature hand-gathered sleeves. Dory’s blouse features a gorgeous, vintage mother of pearl button at the neckline while little Clove’s blouse features a vintage black plastic button. All exposed hems have been hand-stitched as well as the collar & back of each blouse.

Dory & Clove carry a very special Halloween bucket…which already holds bits of candy corn the girls have acquired. (Who could resist those faces?) It even has it’s own witch hat which keeps Dory & Clove’s candy hidden when others are around.

This witch bucket, as well as those tiny candy corns, was sculpted out of paper clay, hand-painted & sealed. No molds were used…only my hands & a paintbrush. The tiny hat was made of muslin & has been painted black & sanded. The tiny handle is made of rusty wire.

Dory’s hair is brown 100% mohair. It was lightly glued & carefully needle-felted to her head. It is styled into wild pigtails.

Dory & Clove will be available on eBay Sunday Aug, 24th – Sunday, Aug. 31st. They will end at 9:15 PM EST. Click here to view or bid on this little gang.
