This is Lila & her tiny family. Each doll has been made of muslin & stuffed with fiberfill. Lila measures a little over 10″ tall from head to toe. She stands on her own as her base is rag-stuffed & bean-filled. Each doll has been painted & sanded a couple of times, giving them lovely, aged patinas. They’ve been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Lila’s little lambs are constructed of 5 separate pieces & have been button jointed.
Lila & family have been painted with a variety of media. Lila’s ears & nose has been needle-sculpted by hand. She sports brown painted gloves & even has a cute, striped underskirt painted on her base.
Lila’s blouse is made of white muslin. It features hand-gathered sleeves & hand-stitching around the neckline and back. It is finished off with two, vintage mother of pearl buttons. Her apron dress has been made from a 100% cotton red berry & vine print. The hem features hand-stitching.
These lambs are about 4″ long. The gently napping lamb is just shy of 3″ tall while his alert sibling stands a little over 4″ tall.
These little guys are now available on Ebay. They will end March 15 at 9:15 PM EST. Click here to view or bid!
Hello,
Your dolls just soooo lovely and amazing! Your style is wonderful and the craftsmanship is fabulous. I have been enjoying perusing your site. I saw that you are from KY. I moved to Lexington from Atlanta about 7 months ago. It is nice to see a fellow dollmaker in KY!
Thank you for sharing your exquisite talent.
Kindest wishes,
Carrie
