A Folk Art Easter Bunny Set — Maizy & her Little Ones

This is Maizy & her two sweet babies. Maizy is 20″ from the bend of her ears to her base. She has been made of muslin & is stuffed with fiberfill. Maizy’s lower torso has been rag-stuffed & is lightly weighted so that she may stand solidly. She’s been hand-painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her such a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Maizy’s face has been painted with a variety of media. She features a needle-sculpted nose & needle sculpted hands.

Maizy’s cute hat & apron have been made from white muslin. Her blouse is nubby taupe osnaburg. It has such great texture. Maizy’s apron dress is a 100% cotton Moda print in the loveliest shade of blue. The apron & skirt feature hand-stitching in contrasting brown thread while Maizy’s blouse features hand-stitching along the neckline, sleeves & back. A vintage, grey, mother of pear button adorns the neckline.

In total, Maizy carries 8 muslin carrots. Although the burlap bag is not removable, the carrots can be removed from this burlap purse & scattered at your discretion. Each one has been painted & aged.

Aren’t these little guys just the sweetest? Each one has been ade of muslin & fiberfill from five separate pieces. They’ve been hand-painted with a variety of media & sealed. Their limbs are attached with vintage, mother of pearl buttons. The upright bunny is 9″ tall & 4.5″ wide. While the relaxed little guy is 6″ tall & 8″ wide.

Maybell, a Pretty Spring Butterfly

Doesn’t this pretty girl remind you that spring is JUST around the corner? Meet Maybell. Maybell is 14″ from the top of her head to her toes & has a wingspan measuring 12.5 inches. She has been made of muslin & is stuffed with fiberfill. She’s been hand-painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. Maybell’s been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. She comes with an embroidery thread loop attached making her suitable for hanging.

Maybell’s sweet face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand, giving her face a great bit of dimension & a beautiful little pout. She has needle-sculpted hands as well & wears painted boots with tan socks & detailed, turquoise laces.

Maybell’s skirt is constructed from nubby, taupe osnaburg. It has such great texture! The hem is hand-stitched. Maybell’s blouse is sewn from white muslin & features hand-stitching at the neckline, sleeves & back. A vintage, grey, mother of pearl button adorns the neckline.

Maybell’s hand-painted, muslin wings are attached by vintage mother of pearl button, have been machine-quilted & are heavily aged.

Her curly black hair is 100% mohair. It has been applied with light glue for extra security & needle-felting.

Hippity Hoppity – A Little Easter Bunny

You can bet that little Bobby will be ready for Easter. Bobby is 14″ from the top of her head to her toes. She has been made of muslin & is stuffed with fiberfill. She’s been hand-painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Bobby’s knees are sewn through & she has an embroidery thread loop attached, making her suitable for hanging. She sits with assistance only.

Bobby’s sweet little face has been painted with a variety of media. Her nose & bottom lip have been needle-sculpted by hand, giving her face a great bit of dimension & a beautiful little pout. She has needle-sculpted hands as well. Bobby wears painted boots with taupe socks & off-white laces.

Her sweet little dress is 100% cotton. The hem is hand-stitched. Bobby’s blouse is sewn from white muslin & features hand-stitching at the neckline, sleeves & back. Two vintage, grey, mother of pearl button adorn the neckline.

This adorable little gal has been been made of muslin & fiberfill. She’s been hand-painted & sealed & may be displayed on her own though she loves hanging out in Bobby’s grass-filled purse. The purse is attached to Bobby with embroidery thread & cannot be removed.

Rosetta, A Sweet Easter Angel Holding a Tiny Lamb

This is Rosetta. Rosetta is 16″ from the top of her head to her toes & has a wingspan measuring 9.5 inches. She has been made of muslin & is stuffed with fiberfill. Rosetta’s lower torso has been rag-stuffed & is lightly weighted so that she may sit nicely. She’s been hand-painted & sanded a couple of times, giving her a lovely, aged patina. She’s been sealed so that she may be lightly dusted after display. Rosetta’s knees are sewn through. She would look lovely perched upon a shelf or bookcase.
