I have tried almost every diet known to man. I have done weight lifting, which helped tremendously, for 6 days a week, I looked perfect. My husband has had cancer, defrib, diabetes, pancreatitis, high blook pressure, you name it. Me too. I have noticed, if it's not around I won't eat it. I love veggies, both of us do. So I fix meat and a lot of veggies, but I also have diverticulitis, so be careful. If he eats in moderation, that's the magic word a lot of symptoms are o.k. I quit taking diabetes meds just by watching what I ate while I was on steroids. I know everyone doesn't not have willpower, but with a munchie or a hard candy by, this helps some. I am now 59, and still try to do moderation, I have ra, autoimmune hep, and a long list, but I consider myself in pretty good health. We do a lot. We are not couch potatoes by any means. We ride a bike, and try moderation. We do sweet-n-low (some people say bad) so is overweight.(duh) I would never do the juicer, because I feel it would cause diahrrea and nausea. By the way I collect your dolls, and love them and your blog, I guess everything I know from your blog. You rock!!!!! and your pics are beautiful. So cheer up, you as perfect as it gets, to me. Big fan!!!!!!!

Thanks for visiting, Alysen. I, too, have read up a little on the quilts used to communicate with escaped slaves. It always interest me, how certain quilts blocks communicated different messages. The quilt blocks on the barns here are such a beautiful sight & such a nice reminder of the quilting tradition.
